Chi Sigma Iota is an international honor society of counseling professionals and professionals-in-training dedicated to excellence in scholarship, research and clinical practice. The purpose of Chi Sigma Iota is to promote and recognize exemplary attainment in counselor education and the practice of counseling. There are 278 Chapters of Chi Sigma Iota worldwide. Total membership is 50,426. Nu Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota was founded at the State University College at Brockport in 1986. Over 100 members have been initiated into Nu Chapter.
